Asian results here were similar to those reported by Dennis as most signals dropped off significantly, in comparison to yesterday. Significant audio was limited to the usual Japanese and Korean big guns, and most of those needed sunrise enhancement to shake off anemia. At my 1250 start time the band sounded dreary indeed, with only 1566-HLAZ having fair to good audio peaks. During the predawn darkness all the other Asian big guns were fairly subdued, although the somewhat unusual performer 828-JOBB was leading the NHK stations with fair audio peaks off and on around 1330. 1566-HLAZ continued to be the only strong Asian throughout the predawn darkness, with all the second tier TP's completely MIA. Around 1345 the usual Japanese big guns on 594, 693, 747 and 774 joined 828 with fair to good audio peaks, while the 1053-Jammer and 1575-VOA came out of the noise to reach fair levels. That was pretty much the story for a very lackluster session, with none of the Japanese big guns reaching yesterday's levels, and only a fair signal from 1575-VOA around 1350 that was somewhat unusual. 73 and Good DX, Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) 7.5" loopstick C.Crane Skywave Ultralight + 15" FSL antenna _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca
