Hello All,

A second FSL-powered Tecsun PL-380 model has been developed with sensitivity
and selectivity comparable to the original 3" Bar FSL model introduced in
December-- but with a greatly superior nulling capability added as well. This
model has been specifically designed to cut pest stations down to size-- and
does so with breakthrough effectiveness.

Using the commonly available 62mm Russian surplus ferrite bars, the model
features both an isolated FSL coil and a shielded ground for the Litz wires.
Breakthrough FSL sensitivity is augmented by the PL-380's Si4734 DSP chip,
providing the triple advantage of superior weak signal performance, razor-sharp
selectivity and exceptional nulling function. As with the original hard-wired
FSL PL-380 model, the radio's internal Si4734 DSP chip tunes the FSL antenna
for maximum sensitivity, so there is no need for the DXer to peak a variable
capacitor. Each frequency tuned in on the PL-380 is already peaked for maximum
sensitivity from 521-1701 kHz. A photo of this new model is posted at

Good luck to all who take up the challenge!
