Walt: I'm curious; does LW signal strength improvement justify a 100 ft. circumference or beyond? I s'pect there's a practical/empirical-best-size; probably beyond 60 feet...but where would you suggest stopping?

Cheers!

Les, you will have no issues with signal strength. The ALA 100 works very
well this way, but, the bigger the loop, the more signal you will have.
Mine are from 20' circumference to well over 100'. I remember my first try
was with a small loop of perhaps 10' around, and I wasn't impressed. Big
is better! Walt

Walter,

I have an ALA1530 S+ that performs well, but again with low signal levels
overall. S/N ratio is great and I get really good bi-directional nulls with
this antenna on a rotor.

Hoping the ALA100LN will provide more signal level that the Flag I’m using
now.

Don’t think the bi-directional nature of the antenna will be an issue.
With the exception of flamethrowers like WSB 750 in Atlanta, I don’t have a
high number of pests to the East that are blocking reception of desired
stations in the West. The “problem children” tend to be more North of my
location, or South with Cubans.

Fingers crossed.
