Paul,

You should try the National Weather Service stations on 4125 kHz USB. I think 
there are 6 stations in Alaska.
The USCG station in Kodiak (NOJ) has some voice broadcasts and several digital 
broadcasts (NAVTEX on 518 kHz, FAX).
