Some TP-DX recordings from this morning. It was mostly a big gun session, but several less common Asians were hanging around at a weak level.

Results here were almost the same, with overall propagation improving somewhat to bring in several unusual Asians in addition the usual Japanese and Korean big guns. At my 1300 start time the band sounded fairly subdued, with only the 1053-Jammer and 1566-HLAZ having good audio. 747-JOIB joined these around 1310 (hit hard by Portland splatter), followed by 594-JOAK at 1325. Around 1315 a diverse collection of weak TP's started showing up on 531, 603, 657, 738, 1035 and 1044 kHz, but none of these could manage more than ghostly audio for a few seconds at a time. 657-Pyongyang, a presumed 738-BEL2 and 1035-CNR1 were barely strong enough to recognize the languages. Late on around 1325 weak signals showed up from 1134-JOKR and 1575-VOA, while the Japanese big guns on 594 and 747 hit their strongest level (very good). Overall the session was fairly average, but a slight improvement over yesterday. The 1053-Jammer had the strongest signal (very good) around 1320. 73 and Good DX, Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) 7.5" loopstick C.Crane Skywave + 15" FSL antenna _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Be sure to register now for the Joint DX Convention Kansas City, September 9 to 11.
