I've heard quite a few Australian AM's in the last 2 weeks but have only written to a few seeking confirmation of what I heard.
At 1829UTC Saturday November 26th (4:29AM in Queensland on November 27th) I heard a station on 1026khz playing Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" Here's the audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb24iXjFIuU Grant Broadcasts Mackay Content Director confirmed what I heard was 4MK 1026 Mackay by saying, "spot on - that was 4MK. Our pattern doesn't shoot your way. Our broadcast pattern has strong spurs from Mackay NNW / SSE, and less powerful E/NE / WSW ... basically a + symbol leaned to the left a little." Just a few minutes late at 1832UTC, I heard a station on 990khz playing "Brandy, you're a fine girl" by The Looking Glass. I have not heard back yet, but I strongly suspect this is 4RO Rockhampton, QLD. A sister station to 4MK and running a classic hits/oldies format.
