Very much down from yesterday, mostly big guns acting like little guns, and no definite DUs. Oddly though, there was a bit of a lift an hour after sunrise, when some Asian DX was at its best, so not entirely a lost cause.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not today

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

nope

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK woman and man in Japanese 1315UT
774 JOUB woman talking 1448UT, sounded like English news //828 a few minutes earlier; presumed part of English lessons. Best signal of the morning on this channel; local sunrise at 1337UT
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1321UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

747 JOIB man mumbling 1308UT // an even weaker 774 and 828. Also noted similar strength at 1435UT //774 828 JOBB man talking //774 1321-2UT, then woman mumbling 1444UT and 1447UT //774, pretty much the same strength as before local sunrise.
1134 man and woman, high energy talk, Japanese? 1322UT
1143 no sign of this earlier, but heard a woman mumbling 1443UT, perhaps sounded more Japanese rather than Chinese 1242 man talking, Japanese inflection 1317-8UT; also woman and man at similar strength and inflection 1437UT for the after sunrise crowd.
1287 man mumbling, Japanese? 1334UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

891 954 1503    seemed to be Asian;
621 1098 seemed DU

best wishes,

Nick
