That was a fairly amazing Asian morning for within a week of the summer solstice

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB woman in Japanese with musical interlude, briefly at this level, and wiping out the splatter at 1118UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

the above passing through

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

the above passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

594 JOAK pips, man mumbling 1100UT, //891
747 JOIK man talking //774 1104UT
828 JOBB man talking //774 1059UT
837 JOQK man talking //594 1113UT; at 10kw, this is pretty good summer high latitude DX
891 JOHK pips, man mumbling 1100UT //594
1287 man talking, Japanese inflection 1101UT, likely JOHR

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

693  1566 seemed to be Asian;
909 1116 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
