I was listening to WNTY 990 kHz (Southington, Connecticut, USA) this
afternoon while I was doing my income taxes and at about 1730Z, the
music was interrupted by a 2-second buzz and WNTY went off the air. It
is still of the air now (2247Z).
WNTY is only 5 miles from my home and is one of my "pests" - can't hear
anything else on 990 when it is on the air, but now 990 is "clear" and I
hope to log a few new stations before WNTY is back on the air.
