I'll get the ball rolling... My name is Owen McNamee and I am the current captain of UCD Fencing Club. Most of my experince is in sabre and foil but at this stage I am training almost exclusively in sabre. I am the current DIT Novice Foil champion, I don't know how, but results I am actually proud of include 3rd place in last years Easts and Carrickfergus, second in last years Junior Nationals and representing Ireland in the RAF/Scotland friendly match. I am currently ranked 3rd in men's sabre in Ireland (although this shouldn't last much after the Irish Open). As Dan has suggested, I am but a shell of my former alcoholic self as the stresses of being captain along with doing my finals tear me apart.
