For starters, my nickname here is DexterSin (I had to call myself Sinjim because my hotmail account was acting up and wouldn't let me sign in as I was) - I am not Davethebastard, I promise! Therefore, I did not say that I was an elite fencer. The reason for my thinking that you thought you were was your presumption that I knew who you were. Evidently you fancy yourself as a bit of a 'name', in Ireland at least, although I am clueless as to your actual identity. Your e-mail address says keith_halloran, but that still leaves me in the dark...On the other hand, your statements on this board speak volumes about you. As for your comments not being a personal attack...You really ought to pay attention to what you actually type. What did you say? "Stupid", "asshole", "idiotic", "not cool" (that one really stung!), as well as implying that I am a vicious psychopath, and that I should deny my right to free speech. Even your last message, where you 'apologised' for the fact that I dared to take your remarks personally(!), you said that my remarks "pollute" the notice board. Everyone will have noticed that even where I disagreed with someone, I refrained from using profanity and did my best to justify my ideas, instead of going berserk and abusing anyone who was foolish enough to disagree with me. As for my remarks about your intelligence: I never said anything about your intelligence. All I ever did was say that you weren't thinking, which does not mean that you are stupid. You're just not using your intelligence to the full in this argument, which is why this whole thing turned into a fight instead of a potentially profitable debate. Almost there...Next time, please read everything that I write, instead of skimming through my messages and letting your knee-jerk reaction take over. If you disagree with me, have a little think about it and try to respond in an intelligent, coherent manner. That way, we can all have a constructive debate, rather than wasting our time ripping into each other. A DEBATE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A FIGHT. Finally...For my remarks in my last message, where I cast aspersions on your maturity and remarked that I hadn't heard your name come up in any world championships, I apologise. I shouldn't have let my annoyance do the talking. I also forgive you for your insensitive, profane, childish, unthinking remarks, as I seem to have provoked something in you that responded to what you thought I was saying, rather than something I actually said.
