Perhaps I overreacted.

Ever heard the fencing dictate: "you must practice a move 10,000 times before 
it is yours"
Fencing is a technical sport, consequently a highly important part of the 
training is repetition, and lots of it. Another important part is fighting, but 
if all you do is fight then you will reach a dead end very quickly.

On the subject of aerobic activity. I'll presume your talking about the 10 
minute warm up run before we get into the hall. The 10 minute run you've never 
joined us in. If you're looking for excuses not to turn up to fencing, I'd 
suggest finding a better one then "there's too much aerobic work".
