"<p>First, you should ask such questions on the ironpython mailing list
(https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/ironpython-users) instead of using
the bug tracker, as it clearly is not a bug...</p><p>Second, IronPython is pure
C# / .NET, so you won't need any Visual C++ Redistributable at all.</p><p>Stock
IronPython needs the .NET Framework 4.0, but you may still be successful in
compiling it for .NET 3.5.</p>"
