Dear ZEF alumni,We are accepting new applications for the Doctoral Studies
Program at the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn,
Germany. Please, circulate this information among your scientific community. We
would also appreciate it very much if you would recommend one of your young
students / researcher / staff members for a doctoral study at ZEF. ZEF accepts
around 35 new students from all parts of the world every year. All courses are
taught in English, the doctoral thesis is written in English as well. There are
scholarships from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) available for
applicants from developing countries. The deadline for the next intake in 2012
will be August 30, 2011.
We are proud that ZEF is ranked in the 2010 ‘To Go To Think Tanks’ ranking -
for the second year in a row - among the top 5% of all worldwide evaluated
Think Tanks (more than 6,000 in 120 countries). It holds position 5 among the
Top 10 of Science and Technology Think Tanks, and position 14 among the Best
University affiliated Think Tanks.
