Dear Down Under, Thank you for a very measured and sensible post which is good relief from the current fight between advertiser and one or more disliker/s of advertiser's methodologies. Some of the fake ads by the counter-advertiser have been rather funny but it has all gone far enough now, and ought to be wound up soon. I agree that this is or should be a free country, and you can say what you want - and also that the noticeboard was SPECIFICALLY created to serve "anything goes" in order to ESCAPE the carpers and the criticisers and complainers on the main forum list whenever advertising of goods for sale used to appear. This was an admirable solution and it has worked well (Congratulations to moderator Irvin Teh for setting it up!). But for it to continue to work well, one has to be a little sensible and despite freedom of speech not talk rubbish continually, but rather to act like a human being rather than like wild animals tearing each other to pieces in a sea of flames and poor language.
