Here's how to unsubscribe from the mailing list. Send an email *without* any subject line to the list, containing *only* these words in the body of the message: unsubscribe is-noticeboard You should not include any other text in the message such as signatures. The list will send you a message confirming that you are off the list within 10 minutes if you are successful. This method worked for me, and I hope it works for others too.
