Just to let you know there's a portfolio competition going on at
our uni, good news is you don't have to be a commerce student, let
alone majoring in finance in order to join. [I think last session
2nd winner was a software engineering student].
I've also made a mailing list for share trading discussion-

JP Morgan UNSW Portfolio Competition Session 1 2003

The competition is a share market simulation game that allows you to
buy and sell shares online based on real market prices. You will be
given $AUS 200,000.00 virtual money to trade on the Australian Stock
Exchange. The top 20 winners will share the prize money of more than
$3,500.00, and the first prize is $700!!
The competition will run for 4 weeks with no break in between. It starts
on the 7th of April (Monday of Week 6) and finishes on the 2nd of May
(Friday of week 8).
To register, please come down to our stall set up outside Quad Store
from 12-2pm Mon to Thur in Weeks 3 to 5. The entry fee will be $10.
