Friday Sermon: Allaah is not oblivious of what the Oppressors do Posted on Tuesday, December 07 @ 03:20:16 EST by eng http://www.khutab.org/eng/22/mkk/Makkah48.htm
Shaykh Salaah Al-Budayr 20 Shawwaal 1425 (3, October 2004) All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the noble Prophet, his household and companions. Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah for that is the best provision in times of afflictions and the best plan for meeting the enemy. Allaah says, "And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him." (At-Talaaq 65:4) Dear brethren! Time changes and man complains but it is the decree of Allaah and His decision that occurs. Blessed is he who is grateful to Allaah in ease and is patient when afflicted with hardship. Blessed is he who draws lessons from hardship that he is afflicted with. Man sometimes faces peril where he is on his guard and sometimes escapes to safety where there is danger. Many are the things that you are wary of, And that bring something that you like. For, the desired thing is concealed in it; And the undesirable thing is apparently shown on it. Allaah says, "And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allaah knows but you do not know." (Al-Baqarah 2:216) Dear Muslims! Allaah has the right to do whatever He wills and to impose whoever He wishes upon whoever He wishes. He does so out of His mighty and will and out of His power and prevalence, and in accordance with His wisdom and precedence of His word. He does so to punish and to put to test. Allaah says, "And never will Allaah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers." (An-Nisaa 4:141) It is sins that cause the imposition of the enemy and affliction with calamities and hardships. If people shun repentance, help one another upon falsehood, fail to desist from spreading sins and allow forbidden acts and evils to spread they bring loss, misery and ignominy upon themselves. The Messenger of Allaah said, "When you enter into the 'eenah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allaah). Allaah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion." (Aboo Daawood) The Prophet also said, "O immigrants! There are five things, if you are tried with them, I seek refuge with Allaah that you will be inflicted with their consequences: if adultery and fornication appear among a people to the extent that they commit it publicly, epidemics and diseases that their predecessors never knew will surface among them; if they cheat in scale and measures, they will be afflicted with drought, poverty and injustice of the ruler; if they evade payment of Zakaah, they will be denied rain from the sky and if not because of animals there will not be rain; if they violate their covenant with Allaah and with His Messenger, Allaah will give their enemy power over them and will cause their enemy to seize from them some of their properties; and if their leaders fail to judge by the Book of Allaah, Allaah will create hostility among them." (Al-Haakim and Al-Bayhaqee) The things happened according to the information and what the leader of Mankind, Muhammad said is true. Brethren in faith! The soon-to-be-vanquished forces of injustice are now in the abode of Islaam. It has occupied the land and seized valuable properties in many of Muslim countries. They hide their enmity, betrayal and hatred under the guise of reform. They commit crimes and occupied lands under the guise of liberation. They act tyrannically, seized land, violate honours and viciously and maliciously kill and maim and they violate all treaties and agreements. The history of mankind has never recorded an event darker than these enemies' open and heinous acts of aggression in the pure land of Islaam. And the history shall never record an act of terrorism greater and more horrible than the one being perpetrated against the Muslims. The Prophet had said the truth when he said, "The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people, when eating, invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allaah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and cast enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). The Messenger of Allaah: He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death." (Aboo Daawood) Fellow Muslims! The price of honour is great and expensive. The nation lives when its children engage in Jihaad and make sacrifice. There is no benefit in a nation whose land is trampled upon by the enemy and whose sacred places are desecrated by sinners. It then surrenders and submits to the enemy. The lands shall never be protected except through sacrifice, the cherished possessions cannot be guarded except through Jihaad and lofty-mindedness; and kingdoms and glories cannot be built except upon might and honour. The Messenger of Allaah said, "Anyone who is killed while defending his wealth is a martyr; anyone who is killed while defending his life is a martyr; anyone who is killed while defending his religion is a martyr; and anyone who is killed while defending his family is a martyr." Fellow Muslims! Where will the crouching tyrant and the oppressive enemy go while his acts oppression indicate his decline and his arrogance is coming to naught? He is surrounded by destruction from every angle and death will reach him wherever he may be and the he is followed about at all time by the invocation of the oppressed against him. The oppressing tyrant shall eventually be subjected to loss and ignominy and he shall go back home vanquished and condemned. His end shall serve as a deterrent and a lesson to others. Every oppressive power shall be led to its death and destruction by its arrogance and ostentation. The way of Allaah is to give a temporary respite to the oppressors and obdurate sinners. The oppressor might reign for some period, but the period will sooner than later come to an abrupt end. Any victory that the disbelievers have is just a postponement beneath which are disgrace, loss and tormenting end. Allaah says, And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponing of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment." (Aal 'Imraan 3:178) Allaah also says, "Those who reject Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), We shall gradually seize them with punishment in ways they perceive not. And I respite them; certainly My Plan is strong." (Al-A'raaf 7:182-183) The Messenger of Allaah said, Allaah gives respite to the oppressor, but when He takes him over, He never releases him." Then he recited: "Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes (population of) towns in the midst of their wrong. Painful indeed, and severe is His seizure.' (Hood 11:102) Has Allaah willed He would have destroyed them and hold back their hands and hostility, He would have turned the tide against them and turned them into history and left no traces of them; He would have also destroy them completely and Allaah is Greater in might and stronger in exemplary punishment. He is the greatest in kingdom and authority, quicker in planning and execution and more efficient in command. Allaah says, "If had been Allaah's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you)." (Muhammad 47:4) They cannot outrun or escape from Allaah's punishment. But Allaah gives them respite so that the Muslims might be tested "that Allaah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you". Whoever thinks that the religion of Muhammad shall not triumph and that his law shall not prevail bears an evil though and has a false belief in his mind. The religion of Allaah shall certainly be victorious and His enemy shall be defeated and conquered. The Messenger of Allaah said, "This religion shall reach every part of the world. It will not leave out any Bedouin dwelling or abode of city dwellers without entering it. It shall do so with the glory of a mighty or through degradation of the ignominious. It is the glory by which Allaah shall give victory to Islaam and degradation by which Allaah shall humiliate the disbelief." (Ahmad) The Messenger of Allaah also said, "This religion will continue to exist, and a group of people from the Muslims will continue to fight for its protection until the Hour is established." (Muslim) Fellow Muslims! There is no way to glory and honour, there is no hope in victory and preventing punishment and calamities except through returning to the great religion of Allaah, sincerely holding fast unto the teachings of Islaam, fighting corruption and sins, blocking all sources of evil, having total submission to Islaam and Allaah's commandments and following the Sunnah of the Messenger of guidance with sincerity. Allaah says, "It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allaah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided." (Al-An'aam 6:82) O you who impudently commit sins, "What is the matter with you that you do not attribute to Allaah [due] grandeur?" What is the matter with you that you do not acknowledge the greatness of Allaah and do not give Him His due right? Why do you not fear the punishment of Allaah? Are you not afraid of Allaah, the All-Powerful? Are you not afraid of Hell? Why are you not repenting or learning lessons? Why are you not refraining from sins while you know that you will certainly return to Him and stand before Him to get the reward of your deeds and to be called to reckon for your negligence? Catch up with yourselves through sincere repentance before death comes. "And turn in repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islaamic Monotheism) to your Lord and submit to Him (in Islaam) before the torment comes upon you, (and) then you will not be helped. And follow the best of that which is sent down to you from your Lord (i.e. this Qur'aan, do what it orders you to do and keep away from what it forbids), before the torment comes on you suddenly while you perceive not!" (Az-Zumar 39:54-55) Brethren in faith! Fear Allaah as He should be feared. Follow the path of His forgiveness, His pleasure and the path of attaining His favour and Paradise. "And Allaah will deliver those who are pious to their places of success (Paradise). Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve." (Az-Zumar 39:61) Fellow Muslims! The best statement of complaint is to ask Allaah to remove the affliction. Repel the waves of calamity with supplication, for there is nothing dearer to Allaah than supplication. The weakest person is the one who cannot supplicate. Nothing prevents the occurrence of what has been decreed but supplication, for Allaah hears the invocation of the one who calls Him. He sees the one who beseeches Him. He who beseeches Allaah sincerely, Allaah removes his affliction and protects him and gives him his request. So raise your hands in supplication to Him and invoke Him sincerely and submissively to help Islaam and the Muslims and Muslim countries.
