Subject: HOW DOES CBC TV DETERMINE WHO IS A TERRORIST?

CBC TV

Dear Andrew and Suhana

In today's morning report about elections in Iraq, an NBC reporter Michelle Caruso Cabrera, while reporting from Iraq, was referring to the Iraqis resisting US occupation as "terrorists". Suhana did not make any effort to ask her to refrain from using such terminology and to just report facts and not her own opinion.

As far as we know even from some US media sources, there is a popular uprising in Iraq against an occupying army, and the Iraqi people do not want to hold an election under occupation, which would only legitimize choosing of despots willing to take orders from the USA. So, how do you brand them as "terrorists"? The US and British forces are terrorizing the Iraqi people. Why don't you ever refer to them as the 'real' terrorists?

As far as kidnappings and bombings are concerned, there are reports from the Arab and some US and even Israeli media (such as Haartz) that there are numerous MOSSAD and CIA agents in Iraq, staging numerous psy-ops and bombings to create Sunni-Shii civil war (it is easier to rule when they are divided). So, how do you blindly label someone 'terrorist' without knowing the facts?

I always thought that the CBC had a Code of Ethics not to brand parties of a conflict with judgemental terms such as 'terrorists' etc. Wasn't it the very reason why Neil McDonald was transferred out as the Mid-East correspondent because he refused to be bullied into using such derogatory terms towards Palestinian fighters, by the pro-Israeli Jewish organizations in Canada?

The entire world knows that FOXX news, CNBC etc.  are snake pits of anti-Arab anti-Muslim venom. How then do you then allow a (former) CNBC reporter to violate your own Code of Ethics?

{Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.}
(Holy Quran-16:125)

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
