Currently we are working with people on the ground in Palestine to provide food aid this Ramadan. In 2002 we delivered aid to Iraq. In June 2005 we delivered an Ultrasound machine to the village of Kufar Jammal in Turkarem.  This Ramadan we are trying to raise money to provide food aid in selected areas in Palestine. Namely Hebron, Ramallah, Turkarem, Jenin and Nablus.  We are working in cooperation with individuals on the ground in Palestine to provide aid this Ramadan.

Here are just two examples \

Village of Dar Beza' in the western of Ramallah

1-     Othman Ya'qoub (Abu Mohammed).

The family members are eight people as follow:

·         The head of the family is the father that is working inconsistently in the construction sector;

·         The mother is not working and having lack of any training that gives her the chance to financially help the family;

·         Four boys aged 2-12, two girls aged 9-14;

·         Four of the children are in schools;

·         The household composes of one room that is used as bed room, living room, and studying room for the kids. The kitchen and bathroom are outside of the one room where the families has to go out side for using these facilities;

·         the source of income of the family is inconsistent with the average income of US$150 a month;

·         There is a lack of having adequate food such as milk, meat, rice etc (in the best case, they can eat meat once a month). The kids have no clothes for the different seasons and are depending on donation of old used clothes that come from other families in the village.

2-     Abu Saber

 The family members are six people as follow:

·         The head of the family is the father that is not working because of the illness;

·         The mother is not working and having lack of any training that gives her the chance to financially help the family;

·         Three boys aged 8-14, one girl aged 3;

·         The three boys are in schools;

·         The household composes of one unhealthy and contractedly unsafe room that is used as a bed, living, and studying room at once. The household does not have any kind of furniture and it has just two mattress for the whole family;

·         There is no source of income for this the family. It just depends on inconsistent help from people of the village.

·         there is a complete and absolute lack of adequate food such as milk, meat, rice etc (in the best case, they can eat meat once every three month is some body just brings them the meat). The kids have no clothes for the different seasons and are depending on donation of old used clothes that come from other families in the village.

·         The three boys were kid out of these schools for three weeks because they could not afford paying NIS 300 (US$70) as yearly fee for their schools.

{Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.}
(Holy Quran-16:125)

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
[Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
