ILM
the reward of ilm and the ulama (reward of studying the religion and the reward of scholars) :
(Allah himself witness that there is no God save him.And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness).Maintaining his creation in justice,there is no God save him,the almighty,the wise.) (2:18)
allah started with his ownself (the glorious),second he mentioned the angels,third he mentioned the ulama.
allah the almighty has said:
(As for these similitudes,we coin them for mankind,but none will grasp their meaning save the wise)
(29:43)
(are those who know equal with those who know not?But only men of understanding will pay heed) (39:9)
Muaz bin jabal narrated that the prophet (peace be upon him)said:

Muaz bin jabal narrated that the prophet (peace be upon him)said:
(learn the ilm,learning it for the sake of allah is fear,asking for it is worship,studying it is tasbeeh,and searching for it is jihad,teaching it for the people who don't know it is sadaka)(it is what shows the right from the wrong,what guides ahl aljannah to the right path,it is the companion in the times of lonliness and the speaker in the khulua. ilm is the guide for the good and the bad,it is the weapon against the enemies,and what's good when your between your loved ones.Allah lifts people steps to the khair and makes them leaders because of their ilm,and imams for others to follow and ask opinions.The angels wish for their friendship,and with their wings they touch and wipe them,every dry and wet (dead or alive) thing ask allah to forgive them,even the whales of the seas and the smallest creatures it caontain,the beasts of the deserts and its animals.because ilm is the life of the hearts and what saves it from jahl,and what lights the way for the sights from darkness,with ilm,aperson reachess the steps of the righteous in heaven,and the highest steps in dunya and akhira.thinking of the ilm and goin into the depth of it is equal to fasting,studying it is equal to qiyam,with it the wombs and the relatives are connected,with it the halal and the haram are being differenciated between,it is the imam of the behaviors (tha aamal),and the deeds are its followers,the happy people are being blessed with it,and the unhappy ones are being deprived)
samra (ra) narrated the prophet (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
( on the day of judgement the ilm of ulama and the blood of shuhada will be weighed,the ilm of ulama
will over weigh the blood of shuhada)
ibn masoud (ra)narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases,The first is a person,whom allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously ,the second is the one whom allah has given wisdon (i.e. the knowledge of the quraan and the sunnah)he judges by it and teaches it to others)
Abi Umamah said there were two men mentioned to the prophet(pbuh) one was a worshipper and the other was aman of ilm the prophet (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
ibn masoud (ra)narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:

Abi Musa (ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon

(the slaves will being re-incarnated in the day of judgement,then the ulama will be picked out,allah will say to them:Oh people of ilm,i did not place my ilm inside you to punish you,i have forgiven you all)
Abdullah bin Umar(ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(the slaves will being re-incarnated in the day of judgement,then the ulama will be picked out,allah will say to them:Oh people of ilm,i did not place my ilm inside you to punish you,i have forgiven you all)
Abdullah bin Umar(ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(the alim is better than the worshipper by 70 steps,between every two steps the distance that a horse would cross in 70 years running)
Ibn Abbas (ra) narrated
that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(One man of fiqh is stronger against the shaytan than a thousand worshippers)
Ali bin Abi Taleb (ra) said(an alim is better than a person who fasts,does qiyam and make jihad.If an alim dies their will be a hole in islam that won't be filled unless someone elsecame in his place)
Abdullah Bin Masoud (ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(seek ilm by Allah whom my soul is in his hands,men who died as martyers for the sake of allah would wish to be sent as ulama for what they have seen of the ulamas' rewards and status(karama),no one was born aman of ilm,ilm happens by learning)
Ibn Abbas (ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(Who dies seekind knowledge will meet allah ,and there is no difference between him and the prophits (anbya
and rusol) but the step of prophethood)
Abi Huraira (ra) narrated that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(What follows a believer from his deeds after he dies are knowledge he teached and taught others,a righteous son he left,a quraan (musshaf) he left for others,a mosqye (masjid)or a house for a traveler (ibn alsabeel) he built,a river he dug or helped digging,and a sadaka he gave out of his money in the time of health)
The prophet allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:
(who ever holds on tight to my sunnah when the rest of the ummah has gone bad will have the reward of a martyer (shaheed))

that the prophet of allah (peace and blessings of allah be upon him)said:

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all." [Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
