Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu! On superficial note the 9/11 episode is nothing but a horrendous, inhuman act perpetrated by enemies of peace. But on deeper analysis there are too many loose ends that add too much equivocality to the entire episode. Considering the magnitude of the accident the official enquiry too seems to have concluded hastily.
Consider this. We know every passenger plane has two flight recorders (black boxes) - a flight data recorder [plane's speed, altitude, course etc] and a cockpit voice recorder [record of the last 30 minutes of conversation inside the cockpit]. These are said to be extremely durable and are installed in the plane's tail section, safe from damage on impact. They are designed to withstand up to half an hour of 1800*C heat (more than they would have faced in the WTC crashes), and to survive a crash at full speed into the ground. [Apologies for the bromidic discourse] Four recorders were recovered from the two planes that hit the Pentagon and Pennsylvania. In the case of American Airlines flight 77, which hit the Pentagon, the FBI said that the data recorder survived and had recoverable information, but the voice recorder was too damaged to provide any record. in the case of United Airlines flight 93, the case was reversed - the voice recorder survived but the flight data box was damaged beyond recovery. Interestingly, none of the recording devices from the two planes that hit the WTC were ever recovered. However, two NY city firefighters, Mike Bellone and Nicholas De Masi, claimed they had found three of the four boxes. FBI, of course, denies the whole story. Even if we assume that the two firefighters are mere liars [they said that federal agents took the recorders and told them not to mention this to others], what really happened to the recorders? These are almost always located after the crash, even if not in useable condition. On 15th sep 2001, New York Times reported this, "One worker who had tunneled into the debris said he had found the remains of people strapped into what seemed to be airplane seats. Another, in one of the most searing discoveries among the ruins, found the body of a flight attendant, her hands bound." This alleged 800*C was supposedly due to a 'raging inferno' caused by gallons and gallons of aviation fuel that poured out after the crash. So, the bodies, plane seats etc could survive the heat from this raging fire whereas the steel melted? Do you accept this logic? [* incidentally, I read somewhere that iron/steel melts at > 1500*C. Is that correct?] Moreover, officially, there was no 800*C fire in the planes that hit Pentagon and Pennsylvania. Then what could have caused the black boxes' 'damage beyond recovery'? This was posted on 2nd Feb 2007, "A Zogby poll shows that over 40 percent of Americans now think there has been a "coverup" around 9/11. A more recent poll conducted at the Scripps-Howard/University of Ohio found more than a third of those asked said it was likely that "people in the federal government either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop the attacks because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East." Truth stands clear from falsehood and falsehood shall perish because falsehood by nature is bound to perish. Only time will separate truth from falsehood.
