SS101: Introduction to Islamic Jurisprudence: Definition and scope, sources
of Islamic law, theories of interpretation, commands and prohibitions,
abrogation (naskh), consensus of opinion (Ijma), analogical deduction (Qiyas),
Istihsan, Maslaha, Urf, Istishab, Saad al-Dharai, Hukm Sharii, Taarud, Ijtihad,
etc.
Last Date for Registration: May 25, 2008.
Registration for the courses can be done either directly from the course web
page at http://www.witness-pioneer.org/VSchool/registration.htm or by sending
an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with all the required information (if you face
any problem in registration from the above web link).
Session: June 6, 2008 ~ September 26, 2008
Other Information:
No tuition fee for the course.
The instructor will notify the lecture plan at the beginning of the course.
One lecture per week.
The instructors and teaching assistants will fix their official e-groups
CHAT schedule for discussion.
Almost all the materials, including the textbooks, will be available in the
online library if those are not protected by the copyright. And lecture
materials will be provided.
A certificate will be awarded to those who will successfully complete the
course.
