Azizah Magazine is sponsoring a project in support of Muslim owned businesses
and services. We are spearheading an initiative that requires your
participation and we want to raise our consciousness about the importance of
supporting Muslim businesses and institutions. This program, A Month of
Muslims, asks you to spend your dollars supporting Muslim establishments for 30
days. In August 2008, purchase your gas from a Muslim-owned gas station. Buy
food from a Muslim-owned grocer. Seek out a Muslim doctor, accountant, or
mechanic for your necessary services. Buy a Muslim newspaper, DVD or magazine.
Order a book from an online Muslim bookstore. Let’s build and strengthen our
community by spending our dollars in the ummah.
We are looking for Muslim consumers from around the country to keep a journal
of their experiences during this program. We would like to know how easy or
difficult, enjoyable or frustrating it was. The top ten most remarkable
journals will be featured in Azizah Magazine. The winners will receive
participation prizes from select Muslim businesses. This is a great opportunity
to learn more about the services and products that are offered by Muslim
community and to show your support for them. Selected journals will be featured
in Azizah Magazine and on the Azizah Magazine website.

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if
Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, "Whoever
calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who
follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
