Dear Bhutta Sahib,

Not only PRIs but DXX billing and bandwidth billing all require certain procedural changes immediately.

Particularly when you switch from one type of bandwidth to another within PTCL there are no guidelines,SOP or even simple instructions as how to adjust the amounts already paid and what will be other charges.

Secondly, when PTCL fails to deliver bills on time and it accumulated to a huge amount, then PTCL should take the lead and provide instalment facility and time to the customer to clear the dues. PRIs are recent cases and DXX future (no billing since october 2000 and no news about adjustment cases). In hurry all the departments of PTCL will start pressurizing customer and even close the circuit as happened in our case of PRIs.

Last but not least three month notice period shall be reduced to one month as in some cases it is only a burden on customer to drag the bandwidth for three months. Also the amount paid as security and advance rent shall be adjusted against notice period and customer need not pay amount during notice period.

You need to coordinate a lot with PTCL officials on these issues.

Regards

Ateeq Khan
