Dear All,
PTCL has agreed to reduce bandwidth rates as promised by the Honorable Minister for Science and Technology from US $ 15,000 to US $ 6,000 for 2mb.
There will now be two Tariffs.
1) US $ 6,000 for 2mb without back up.
2) US $ 9,000 for 2mb with full back up for redundancy.
We should now aim towards achieving US $ 4,000 for two mb with full redundancy.

I have received an email from Dr. Atta he has confirmed that the same rates should happen with 4-8 weeks as it requires approval of the PTCL board. Also he has reassured that the rates will be further reduced to US $ 4,000 per 2 mb very soon as he desires lowest possible rates for bandwidth. I am sure President ISPAK is going to handle & expedite the same with PTCL.
I have already replied and thanked him for his kind confirmation on behalf of all the ISP,s although formally presidednt ISPAK will response and handle the matter.

.......Dr Ata said the 2 MB bandwidth rates had also been uniformed at 6,000 dollars. He said these rates had been reduced from 87,000 dollars a few years back. He said the government was also planning to reduce it to 4,000 dollars per month.
.......The minister said that now all the Internet service providers (ISPs), software companies and other institutions would be provided 2MB at 6,000 dollars.
