I hope you have received the fax. Please tell me what has the ISPAK decided on this issue. Salman Sahib is the expert on this issue, but I beleive that by using these services we are saving foriegn exchange. In a Bi lateral agreement between telcos, 50% of the amount charged for a call is to be given to the terminating telco. So if PTCL charges Rs. 60 for a call to USA, then Rs. 30 is given to the telco in USA. If someone calls USA using DialPad, no foreign exchange is spent, and if some one uses net2phone, then the foreign exchange spent is considerably smaller than what PTCL pays. So in the Interest of the Country, these sites should be allowed and encouraged. PTA should think of the greater interest of the country than looking after the interest of PTCL. Regards, Nasir.
