TARIFF FOR
FULL CIRCUIT PREMIUM INTERNET PROTOCOL BACKBONE CONNECTIVITY VIA SMW-3 FOR
DNOPs/ ISPs/SOFTWARE EXPORTERS /CALL CENTERS AND IT RELATED
PROJECTS.
The competent authority is pleased
to revise the Tariff Circular issued vide this office letter No. RS.17-2/2000
(FC) dated 29-05-2001 for Full Circuit Premium Internet Protocol Backbone
Connectivity using SMW-3 with immediate effect for ISPs/ data network operators/
software exporters/ call centers and IT related customers.
1.1 DNOPs/
ISPs, Software Exporters, Call centers and I.T. Related
Projects:
PTCL is now offering two products namely; (a) partially
restorable and (b) non-restorable premium internet protocol backbone bandwidth.
The rates will be as under:-
The existing portfolio of IP
bandwidth (STM-I) is being disconnected after three months of the issuance of
this circular. All existing STM-I customers will opt in favour of any of the
above products to respective DE VAS at Karachi, Lahore , Islamabad. etc. within
two months of issuance of this Circular. These new products are being made
available with effect from January 1, 2002.

2. Modification of
Terms and Conditions:
2.1 Deletions: The Terms and
conditions already circulated vide Tariff Circular No.RS.17-2/2000 (FC) dated
29.05.2001 shall remain in force except the conditions mentioned in para
ii,iii.iv for software exporters, IT related projects, call centers and
educational institutions which stand deleted.
Additions: The
following conditions will be in addition to the conditions mentioned in the
above referred circular.
2.2 The existing ISPs/DNOPs will get additional
bandwidth in the same amount and no refund shall be allowed. In case of
termination of existing contract by ISPs, its request for bandwidth on new rates
shall not be entertained.
2.3 Provision of SRO 1368(I)/98 dated 15-12-98
shall apply till its validity.
2.4 As special dispensation, new rates
will be applicable to Software Exporters, Calls Centers and Educational
Institutions with effect from 01-04-2001.
2.5 In case of enhancement
options, Connection Charges and rental (for DXX) given in Para 1.1 will be
applicable to provide additional bandwidth.
2.6 Provision of Shared
Bandwidth portfolio by PTCL will cease to exist after three months from date of
issue of this Tariff Circular. Present users may opt within two months for new
portfolio according to their business plans. Shifting from Shared bandwidth to
new portfolio of the same capacity of bandwidth will be free of
charges.
2.7 Bills will be payable with in 07 days from date of issue. In
case of default, 5% surcharge will be levied.
2.8 Non-payment
beyond 03 weeks shall warrant disconnection of the service.
2.8.1
Non payment beyond 30 days shall warrant disconnection of all services provided
by PTCL to the defaulters.

Note:
1. Bandwidth upto 512 KBPS will be
provided on the existing circuits without additional charges.
2. Existing 1 MB bandwidth (partially
restorable) will be provided using the existing circuit without additional
charges while for non restorable, it will require additional hardware and
circuit for which additional charges shall leviable as per Tariff
Circular.
3. Existing bandwidth upto 2 MB for
partial and non-restorable products will require additional circuits for which
additional charges shall be leviable as per tariff.
4. Shared bandwidth products will cease
to exist after 03 months of issuance of this tariff Circular. Customer may
select any of the new products according to new business plan. Shifting to new
portfolio on of the same capacity will be free of charge with adjustment of
differential of rental tariff.
