Hello and happy new year everyone!
does anyone here know how to set up a notification for hard disk problems
on a Proventia G (1200, FW 1.2)?
We've had a broken disk for a while and I noticed by chance.
As far as I know the G can not simply send an event ("Sensor_Error" or
similar) to SiteProtector.
If you turn on SNMP you get entries in /var/log/messages. So far I think
these are not being sent as SNMP
traps, though. There is a KBA (#3033) with a list of events that fire an
SNMP event - hard disk problems
(other than "disk full") are not among them.
How do you monitor your G's disks?
Thanks in advance.
Regards, K.
