I have had a problem where my C drive changed to read only.
Windows can not load the user's profile Windows can not load the locally stored profile The error that is received at login is "Windows can not create a temp profile directory C drive is read only" I resolved the problem by going to computer management and turning off the BlackICE and RapApp services. Turning off the BlackICE service does not fix the problem; it seems that something is corrupt in RapApp service. However, this does resolve the problem with the C drive being read only.
