Hello

I wasn't capable of making my remote consoles access to the Asset Database
either. Every time I tried to manage sth from a remote console an error
message was displayed ('invalid SQL authentication', or something like
that)
The solution that ISS Support gave me was to use the same user/password for
all the consoles and the machine with the Asset database.
I don't know exactly why, but it works. I think it's amazing that
RealSecure uses by default the NT authentication to access to the Asset
database.

Besides, in my opinion that was just a workaround. I'd love to know that
someone has found a better solution modifying the ODBC data sources or some
SQL Server option or whatever.

Kind regards.

Jaime Garcia.

Hi all,

I'm trying to deploy 2 RS 6.0 consoles accessing to the same Asset
database.
The problem is: since the machines don't belong to the same domain, I
cannot
use a trusted SQL connection to reach the database.

I've tried to change the ODBC System DNSs related to RealSecure with no
results by now (RS is still trying to access using a trusted connection)

Has anyone found this before?

thank you and rgds.

Jennifer
