Bojidar,

  1. On the machine running System Scanner you’ll have to install the System Scanner Databridge; this will make sure that the result of all checks (vulnerable or not vulnerable) is sent to the RSSP database.
  2. I don’t think you can trigger more scans at the same time (I haven’t tried though). What you certainly can do is schedule as many as you need.
  3. System Scanner Group Manager is installed when you install System Scanner Console, therefore you cannot install it on the same machine as SiteProtector.
  4. Yes it is free of charge. Make sure that if you use Group Manger and Vista at the same time you don’t end-up mixing results. The goal of Group Manager is to keep different instances of the DB and there is no cross-check with Vista. Just a question: as Group Manager keeps different instances of the DB whereas SiteProtector merges them, why do you want to use Group Manager? I suspect you might have misunderstood the functionality of Group Manager.

I hope it helps.

Subject: [ISSForum] SiteProtector and System Scanner

Dear All,

As I know I can open an web Interface from SitePortector Console to an System Scanner Agent.

1. How System Scanner sends vulnerability data to SiteProtector and how SiteProtector is aware of it?

2. Can I start multiple System Scanner scans from SiteProtector Console?

3. Can I put System Scanner Group Manager on SP Console machine?

4. Is System Scanner Group Manager free of charge?

Regards

Bojidar
