Csaba Ringhofer commented on IMPALA-5051: ----------------------------------------- I plan to add this as an experimental feature first - a new development query option would set the type used for timestamps in Parquet globally. Its value would be int96_nano by default, and setting it to int64_micro, int64_milli, and int64_nano would switch to the given physical + logical type. > Add support to write INT64 timestamps to the parquet writer > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: IMPALA-5051 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-5051 > Project: IMPALA > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Backend > Affects Versions: Impala 2.9.0 > Reporter: Lars Volker > Assignee: Csaba Ringhofer > Priority: Major > > This requires updating parquet.thrift to a version that includes the > TIMESTAMP_MICROS logical type. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-all-unsubscr...@impala.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-all-h...@impala.apache.org
