I think this has something to do with HIVE-4232. Beeline is picking bad
defaults. I haven't had a chance to dig into why it is picking the right
default for HS2 URL though. May be we are doing [something
special|https://github.com/apache/impala/blob/5466cf6344af893521b093915aba25fde6b13d4e/fe/src/test/resources/hive-site.xml.py#L52]
in the configs.
