Apologies for the poor wording, I didn't fully understand my problem. What we
ultimately want is a way to prevent large messages from causing our disk to
fill up. Which would mean giving us some way to limit what is written to disk.
This issue is just more evident with slow consumers hanging on to a bunch of
messages.
