Justin Bertram commented on ARTEMIS-3683:
-----------------------------------------

Thanks for attaching the log. Unfortunately the stack-trace you originally
provided was complete. For some reason Netty isn't supplying any more details
than just:
{noformat}
io.netty.channel.unix.Errors$NativeIoException: bind(..) failed: Cannot assign
requested address{noformat}
Given that a restart resolves the issue I can only conclude that the problem is
environmental or perhaps some kind of bug in Netty (which seems unlikely). In
any case, the underlying error is coming from the JNI (i.e. native) library
which Netty is using to bind its socket. The broker does not control this
directly. The broker is at the mercy of Netty and, more fundamentally, of the
operating system.

You might try upgrading to 2.20.0 as it uses a newer version of Netty than
2.18.0 (4.1.66.Final vs 4.1.72.Final).

> I am facing below issue when I am trying to start up the broker using 2.18.
> It looks it is complaining about the {{acceptor}} "cluster" in
> {{broker.xml}}. My other server was facing the same issue while starting the
> server the first time, but when I re-tried starting the server again it
> worked. Both server are configured the exact same way.
> {{broker.xml}} (networking {{acceptor}} block attached for reference):
