Jean-Baptiste Onofré created AMQ-9770:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: LDAPLoginModule is not as fast as Jetty LdapLoginModule
                 Key: AMQ-9770
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-9770
             Project: ActiveMQ Classic
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Web Console
    Affects Versions: 6.1.7
            Reporter: Jean-Baptiste Onofré
            Assignee: Jean-Baptiste Onofré

In the login.config, I created a realm for web console
authentication/authorization.

First, I used the Jetty LDAP Login Module
(org.eclipse.jetty.jaas.spi.LdapLoginModule), and updated the SecurityContraint
in the conf/jetty.xml.

It works fine and the performances are pretty good.

I updated to use ActiveMQ LDAP Login Module
(org.apache.activemq.jaas.LDAPLoginModule) (same SecurityConstraint): it works,
but browsing the web console is not as fast as with the Jetty Ldap Login Module.

I suspect the Jetty Ldap Login Module use caching, whereas the ActiveMQ one
doesn't (requesting LDAP at each page rendering on the webconsole).
