In the first look -
- Like Eroma, I also like the previous simpler single-headed elephant's logo
more over the three-headed versions because of simplicity.
- i am not inclined towards having black color on the logo, mainly because to
me it doesn't represent an opensource foundationn. It suits more to a
stylish/classy brand like a car or a watch company, but that is just my opinion.
- I like the use of font in 'APACHE AIRAVATA' in the three-headed RED logo.
- I don't know why, but the three-headed logos with trunks in the same
direction do not resonate with me. Can we get an explanation behind the making
of the logos to get a deeper understanding about them of why they are the way
they are?

I'm not a graphic designer and I understand very little about philosophy of
logo design, but I have a couple of suggestions that I would like to add with
examples that we can try if we have time -
We could try flat colors used now-a-days like -

We could try giving a material feel to the logo like this one -
