Jonathan Hurley commented on AMBARI-16030: ------------------------------------------ This all assumes that our upgrades are 100% idempotent and will stay that way. We can't guarantee that. Frankly, if you hit a problem on upgrade, then you should get it fixed and then try again from your backup. I don't think this table should capture partial upgrades. That seems out of scope. Writing a log of what changed during a successful upgrade to the database could be in scope. > Ambari version history: Add ambari_version_history table for record keeping > history of ambari versions > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: AMBARI-16030 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-16030 > Project: Ambari > Issue Type: Task > Components: ambari-server > Affects Versions: 2.4.0 > Reporter: Nahappan Somasundaram > Assignee: Nahappan Somasundaram > Fix For: 2.4.0 > > > When investigating upgrade issues, information about history about Ambari > versions is missing.
