In general, yes, you are correct Sumit. If the property didn't exist in prior
stacks but now exists in the 2.6 stack it will be automatically added. There
are some exceptions:
- The property was added for HDP 2.6, but in a lower stack (like 2.3). In this
case, we can't tell that it's for 2.6 only and must assume it was removed by
the admin.
- The property was added by the admin manually before the 2.6 upgrade
Otherwise, yes, it'll be added automatically during stack upgrade.
