The default configuration example for spnego in hive-site.xml is wrong.
the default value of hive.server2.authentication.spnego.principal should be
[HTTP/[email protected].|mailto:HTTP/[email protected].]
the default value hive.server2.authentication.spnego.keytab should be
/etc/security/keytabs/spnego.service.keytab.
