Nikita Pande updated AMBARI-26506:
----------------------------------
Description:
The Widget Browser is essentially a pop-up dialog or panel within the Ambari
Web UI that provides a centralized interface for:
# *Discovering Available Widgets:* It lists all the pre-defined (default)
widgets that are part of the service's stack definition, as well as any custom
widgets created by users.
# *Adding Widgets to the Dashboard:* Users can select widgets from the
available list and add them to the service's "Metrics" dashboard for quick
viewing.
# *Removing Widgets from the Dashboard:* Conversely, users can remove widgets
they no longer wish to see on their current dashboard view.
# *Creating New Custom Widgets:* It provides a wizard-driven interface to
build entirely new widgets based on any metric that Ambari is already
collecting for that service.
# *Editing Existing Custom Widgets:* Users can modify the properties of
widgets they have created (or shared widgets if they have permissions).
# *Deleting Custom Widgets:* Users can permanently delete widgets they have
created.
# *Sharing Widgets:* Custom widgets can be shared with other Ambari users
within the same cluster.
