Hi,

there is no difference between the standalone and the WAR version regarding the 
LDAP access (if you use the same archiva version). Archiva uses the standard 
LDAP API from the JDK. There is either a difference in your configuration, or 
you have different JDKs. If this is the case, it would be helpful, if you can 
tellĀ  the exact versions of your JDKs used for standalone and WAR deployments.

"user not found" is normally a issue from wrong LDAP configuration (wrong 
attributes for search, or base DN not correct, there are many parts in the 
configuration that have to match to your LDAP server)

You can increase the log level to debug or trace and attach the relevant part 
for the login to this issue here.
