When you say ignore line endings, do you mean mark files in the repository as
binary? Obviously, this is not the right thing to do and besides, it can break
OSX.
Probably we need to add an extra step that would set LF as EOL for the cloned
repository only (since we know it's gonna be Linux). Some files may still
require native EOL setting.
