Thanks for getting this started! I like that we kept the history.
This is one of the few cases where I think it's important to do a merge, as
opposed to a merge-squash. I don't have any objection to having the CI fail
for a short period while we're cleaning up the donation (workflows, build, etc.)
As soon as 1.11.2 gets published, this is going to be a priority for 1.12.0 !
