Hey [~donnyzone], thanks again for working on this. I did a first very quick 
pass and added a few comments only for the tests. Basically, I would like to 
clarify what exactly does the new code generator doesn't cover. 

Apparently there are certain optimizations that we were performing before and 
that the current code generator does not handle for the moment. It would be 
good to identify:

# What optims remain to be done in the future? 
# What will not be able to handle due to the new approach (if any)?
