Julian Hyde commented on CALCITE-5870: -------------------------------------- I reviewed the PR. I believe that this will work end-to-end, not just the parser, so becomes a new supported SQL feature. Can you also modify {{reference.md}}, and add one or two queries to {{misc.iq}}. Change the summary to "Allow literals like DECIMAL '12.3' (consistent with Postgres)". > Core parser support DECIMAL String literal to SqlNumericLiteral sql grammar > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CALCITE-5870 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CALCITE-5870 > Project: Calcite > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: core > Reporter: LakeShen > Priority: Major > Labels: pull-request-available > Fix For: 1.36.0 > > Attachments: image-2023-07-24-19-23-30-316.png, > image-2023-07-24-19-26-44-131.png > > > In Postgresql,It supports the following sql grammar: > {code:java} > select DECIMAL '99.999' {code} > Postgresql converts DECIMAL '99.999' to numeric constants: > !image-2023-07-24-19-23-30-316.png|width=399,height=186! > Now babel sql parser converts DECIMAL '99.999' to AS SqlBasicCall, like this: > !image-2023-07-24-19-26-44-131.png|width=529,height=224! -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
