Min Chen updated CLOUDSTACK-6940:
---------------------------------

    Description:
When registering templates with CloudStack, it is necessary to provide a URL
from which the template can be downloaded.

CloudStack validates the format of these URLs, but it does so quite
aggressively, sometimes rejecting URLs that are perfectly valid.

In particular, CloudStack expects and requires the URL to carry a file
extension in the end that matches the expected template, eg. ".vhd" or
".vhd.gz". If the URL doesn't have such an extension in the end, it will be
rejected, even if it is a perfectly valid URL from which a VHD can be
downloaded.
