Wilder Rodrigues commented on CLOUDSTACK-8925:
----------------------------------------------

Hi [~rajanik]

If you create a VM under that network, can the VM talk to the outside world? I
see the rule clearly, but last time I tried to go outside from a VM in a
network with default egress to DENY, I had to add an egress rule allowing
traffic.

I'm deploying a DC to have a look into it.

Cheers,
Wilder

> When we create a network with Egress rules set to default allow, the rules
> created in FW_OUTBOUND table should have a reference to FW_EGRESS_RULES chain
> which has a rule to accept NEW packets from the guest instances. Without that
> rule only RELATED , ESTABLISHED rule in FW_OUTBOUND chain will result in Drop
> of packets.
