Sebb,
Dependencies on 3rd party software will be handled similarly to Apache software
in the NOTICE file. If there is a pom available for the 3rd party software,
data from that pom will be used in the generated NOTICE file.
I have corrected the typo "(s)" in the apache-jar-resource-bundle.
Jakarta should not be removed from the NOTICE file, because the dependencies
that Validator has were released by the Jakarta project.
Regarding the // comments, I think they are OK to have. The docs says "The top
of each NOTICE file should include the following text, ...". The NOTICE file
includes that text in the top, it's not just the very first thing in the file.
Getting "Apache ..." on the first row can be configured as I understand it.
